The purpose of a tow truck: it is mainly used for towing road breakdown vehicles, urban vehicles with traffic violations, and for emergency rescue.

Main functions of a wrecker truck

1.Lifting function: The lifting function is the main function of a tow truck. It involves using the extension and lifting actions of the lifting arm to lift the damaged vehicle from the front or rear, and then tow the entire vehicle away from the scene.

2.Lifting function: Tow-and-lift type wreckers are generally equipped with a variable-range lifting arm, which allows for lifting damaged vehicles from one end (or side) or the entire vehicle, aligning it for easier towing. Heavy-duty wreckers can also use the telescoping and variable-range of the lifting arm to tow or lift the accident vehicle from the roadbed and nearby areas onto the road surface for alignment.

3.Towing function: The recovery vehicle is equipped with multiple winches, which, in conjunction with the main crane jib and fixed anchor points (fixed pulleys) on site, can be used to right overturned vehicles and pull vehicles that have fallen into deep ditches.

4.Traction function: The recovery vehicle can tow away damaged vehicles that are lifted at one end. In addition, it can also use a towbar to tow away accident vehicles with undamaged axles.

5.Backloading function: The flatbed wrecker can tow the accident vehicle onto the flatbed, fix it with soft contact, and implement non-destructive transportation, which is especially suitable for passenger cars.

6.Warning and lighting functions: The recovery vehicle is equipped with large warning lights and alarms, providing clear signs during recovery operations. It also features a rescue auxiliary lighting function for use during nighttime operations.
